She is one of the founders of the local LEBRA organization, (Ladies Exclusive Business Referral Association), at Cedar Creek Lake. Her talents and experience have also been utilized by the Independent Insurance Agents of Texas, where she has served on the Small Agents Advisory Council.
When not engaged in insurance, you may find Lana traveling to unique vacation spots, playing on a golf course, or maybe even tackling the intricacies of photography, a hobby she plans to pursue in the near future.
Robert S Bernstein: When leaving college in 1974, Rob was encouraged to experience the insurance business, never realizing the dramatic impact it would have on his life. After becoming a career agent for a life insurance company, he went on to earn his Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU) designation in 1980 and Registered Health Underwriter (RHU) designation in 1998. Qualifying for the National Quality Award, National Sales Achievement Award, and Texas Leaders Round Table, Rob continued his studies in the insurance industry quenching his thirst for knowledge.
Expanding his base of operations to adapt to the needs of clients has been fulfilling and rewarding. He challenges himself to do the very best for every individual who allows him to handle their insurance . . . be it life, health, or casualty.
In his spare time, Rob enjoys doing what he can for animal rescue to reduce the street dog population through capture, placement, and outreach.
Brandy Brown: Her insurance career began at Lana L Mock & Associates in August of 2004, while attending the University of Texas at Tyler. Five months later Brandy became a licensed Property & Casualty agent and subsequently earned the personal lines Accredited Customer Service (ACSR) designation in November of 2005. She graduated the next month from the University of Texas at Tyler with a Bachelors of Business Administration degree emphasizing Business Management. Since she loved working in the insurance world, Brandy continued with her career path there, and in May of 2007, earned her dual ACSR Designation in commercial lines. Since then she obtained her Life, Accident and Health license, and is currently working on the Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC) designation. She enjoys helping and watching others be successful.
In 2004, Brandy married her best friend, Korey. They now have two adorable children, a son 6 years old and a 2 year old daughter. Riding horses is # 1 on their kids list so you will find Korey and Brandy with them in the pastures or riding arenas as well as at PTO meetings and many other of their activities. In her limited spare time, Brandy enjoys playing softball and spending time with family and friends.
Erin Connor: Erin's entry into insurance was a blessing and life changing moment. As a stay-at-home wife, she owned a successful and gratifying home child care service. When both experiences ended, Erin began her insurance career with Lana L Mock & Associates, the very same day her divorce was final. She truly believes the Lord closed one door in her life only to open this new one and she hasn't looked back since. Her older brother and she are both homeschooled graduates, beginning in 2nd grade. Erin was born and raised in the same town here at Cedar Creek Lake, and has just purchased her first home in the same neighborhood where she grew up. In fact . . . even on the same street! She obtained her Property and Casualty agent license in April, 2011, and is currently tackling both the commercial and personal parts (at the same time, she adds) of the Texas Independent Insurance Advisor designation. After that, she plans to pursue her Life and Health license. Erin's true passion right now is the commercial lines side of insurance, where she takes great pride in being able to help clients through some of their most difficult insurance questions. Of course, she is relieved when they request a simple ID card or certificate of insurance.
Mary (Mac) Bookman: Mary grew up in the Dallas metroplex and watched a tremendous amount of change take place. But 60 miles southeast of Dallas . . . the Cedar Creek Lake area . . . has been her home for the past 25 years. There are 12 communities around the lake, and she loves the small town atmosphere here. Prior to her insurance career, Mary managed a local restaurant which was very rewarding to her as she met the customers, many who became lifelong friends. In 2003 she was attracted to the insurance industry. Mary obtained her Property and Casualty license and started in sales where her desire to meet and help people continued. Eleven months later, she obtained her Life and Health license. Currently she is working on her Texas Independent Insurance Advisor designation. While her job responsibilities are quite varied . . . inside sales and customer service in all lines of insurance . . . Mary's favorite type of insurance to work with is Farm and Ranch business.
She has two grown children, a son and a daughter, along with two active granddaughters ages 10 & 4. Her husband, Tommy, and she stay busy with the demands of their two Chihuahuas and their precious grandkids whenever they are able to steal them away for weekends of entertainment and spoiling. It doesn't get any better than that!
